Seriously its been already 20 year for the playstation time is going fast and to celebrate that we decided to do a little something nice we choses 20 games that made the twenty years of the playstation, but first a little historic for the playstation
The PlayStation was released in Japan 3 December 1994. The first model of PlayStation released in France later, on 29 September 1995. Its evolution repackage, the PlayStation One, released it on July 7, 2000 in the Japanese archipelago and September 29, 2000 in Europe.
Twenty years of video games and consoles Twenty years hammering crosses, triangles, squares and circles. Twenty years of PlayStation. Twenty years and six consoles, four lounge and two - or three if you think the PSP Go - portable.
At a time when Sega was weakening, Sony entered the floor, disturbing the Nintendo and Microsoft encouraging giant leap. Today, with the PlayStation 4, the Japanese giant is the top seller Since December 3, 1994, release date of the first PlayStation, time has passed, the polygons have multiplied and large pixel. Yet when it plunges back into our memories, when we seek titles that have marked us, hundreds of hours of game that deserved to be included here.
The 20 games are this one (of cores you can disagree with us this was our selection we did it from experience and from gathering some information from other web sites)
Rayman (PS1) - 1st December 1995
Ith no arms, no legs everything was separated this little guy was not us knewn us he is now and the odds were against him but it never stopped swinging potatoes jaw-dropping. The first Rayman was already beautiful, He settled not only in the PlayStation gaming landscape but also an endearing character and its creator, Michel Ancel.
Tomb Raider (PS1) - November 22, 1996
How can we speak about playstation and forgetting lara croft impassible. the adventurer was there with her big polygons as the Indian sub-continent. This was especially the emergence of a kind, awesome, makes fighting against bugs a bit stiff and cavernous puzzles
Final Fantasy VII (PS1) - November 17, 1997
Us a final fantasy fan my self i can't don't talk about Final Fantasy VII, it has collided us hard during the long cold winter evenings 97 which finally seemed very short, FF VII had it all, a gripping storyline, stunning 3D graphics, for the time, and addictive progression system for Cloud and his friends.
Soul Blade (PS1) - May 9, 1997
Before SoulCalibur will mark the spirits with his fights with weapons, the series moved and amazed the players with Soul Blade. An opening cinematic to turn the retina and fights fluidity and incredible intensity. Already our darling, Mitsurugi!
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) - November 1, 1997
If the first Castlevania memorabilia dating back to the NES, this episode saw great! Superb classic action / adventure, he made you go hunting vampires, not just any Dracula himself. Graphically very successful, with a perfect playability probably embellished by memories, that Castlevania marked the Sony console.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) March 20, 2002 / February 17, 2006
Stop right were you are and do a 1 minute silence for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.because it is a piece of art as a work of video game creation, Ico puts us in the shoes of a boy ostracized because he has horns on his head. Very mysterious, wonderfully offbeat, real journey, Ico is a masterpiece. Shadow of the Colossus, released a little over four years later, the same studio (17 February 2006) is full of poetry itself. It underpins with a rare lightness colossal quest for the beloved wake of Wanda, the young hero.
Grand Theft Auto III (PS2) - October 26, 2001
Welcome to Liberty City for the fifth episode of the series and third major episode. Revenge is a dish best served cold but can be pretty spicy, especially when one consumes in 3D - a first! In the GTA, the hero wants revenge and he does not intend to go punches. Excellent title, it has since been ported to iOS, for nostalgic or those who were too young at the time of the PS2.
Ground (PS2) - February 20, 2002
Railshooter music and psychedelic, Ground occupies a special place. It is these games that turn a glimmer of nostalgia in the eyes of those who have had the chance to take control. An experience that is hard to forget.
Virtua Fighter 4 to 8 May 2002
Tired of spending a fortune on arcade machines, the fighting game fans have eagerly turned to console adaptations of the most popular licenses. Virtua Fighter 4 - which experienced the following year a Evolution - offered a wide variety of different genres: jeet kun-do, created by Bruce Lee, Kung Fu or jiu jitsu touch of capoeira. What to Eat and put on the face of friends. And it was beautiful!

At the approach of Christmas 2002, developers Insomniac Games Ratchet ... rolled mechanical, engineering mechanic comes with a handheld robot, Clank, in a game platforms where the objective is to prevent a bad president to rule the world! Schoolboy humor and attractive graphics, this first episode was the first step of a video game series popular on Sony consoles.
Katamari Damacy (PS2) - September 22, 2004
Attention moment of madness! Under cover of recreating the star destroyed by King of the Cosmos, you end up moving a slime ball, logically called Katamari, which retains everything it touches into a kind of mass-bordelo protean rolling on the world even swallow more stuff. The more you cram more you recreate stars. The anything in the service of children's dreams ...
Killzone (PS2) - December 1, 2004
Sony consoles have always had the reputation of being a bit low FPS side. Perhaps the fault them less suited to handle such as those of the Xbox. However, the series of Killzone did this prejudice lie every time an episode out. The first, released in late 2004 on a PlayStation 2 in full maturity, marked the spirits as much by his world as his uneven graphics but very neat and violence. Know-how that has improved over time, sometimes with broken promises, the weight that Killzone is now a selling point for PlayStation, as demonstrated Killzone Shadow Fall, aligned in the starting blocks PS4.
Gran Turismo 4 (PS2) - March 9, 2005
We still remember the Japanese Import version while the first Gran Turismo released on the original PlayStation, which gave us a hard time, especially to spend our permits. Almost four years after Gran Turismo 3, the fourth installment of the series of racing simulation was an air of tsunami: 700 cars, fifty circuits, and a multi locally up to six players. It also provided an opportunity to start his own team. Polyphony rounded a bend in the rope, which did not leave unharmed fans.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2) - 3 March 2005
Culmination of the series that we had already bludgeoned the retina and nerves on PlayStation 3 that AMS was as much a splendid conclusion hyper built and solid story a promising preamble of what was to come with the next generation console. For us one of the seminal events of this essential series, which has also been ported to 3DS recently.
Resident Evil 4 (PS2) - November 4, 2005
Another survival horror, this time with its share of very engaging zombies and laughing part of a village in the depths of a hole itself hidden in a remote corner. Under the pretext of saving the president's daughter Leon Kennedy tap dances, supported by Ada, which ceased to rent cars to go on an adventure.
Despite its gameplay more action-oriented, it still could not strafe and shoot while running, but such is the weight of the world arcade in Japan ...
God of War II: Divine Retribution (PS2) - April 27, 2007
Kratos was hit hard by March 2005, but this is the second episode of his adventures, released two years later, which really opened the doors to VIP parties and select After. 'This beat'em all that revisits mythology fists and blades, is also the one that has most impressed us in the series.
Uncharted Drake's Fortune (PS3) - December 5, 2007
Nathan Drake suddenly one old-hat a Lara Croft which was hanging in the hearts of gamers as forms too voluptuous. Adventurer, thief, spiritual son of Arsene Lupin and Indiana Jones, Nathan Drake is served by splendid graphics that make the most of the PlayStation 3, and a consummate art of storytelling. Naughty Dog, the studio that gave it birth and extolled, excels from episode to episode, and alone justifies the existence of the Sony consoles. A Thief's End, the fourth installment will arrive on the PS4 in 2015 ...
LittleBigPlanet (PS3) - November 7, 2008
Platform game in the form of delusional scrapbooking, digital, creative, LittleBigPlanet has brought a fresh breath on the PlayStation 3, before incarnating a third time on the PlayStation, there a few days. Sackboy has everything from the anti-hero we will have fun confront our own levels and those of the community.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories (PSP) - 25 February 2010
Refocused. This Silent Hill on PSP, which has also participated in developing the PlayStation brand, is essential for at least two reasons. First of all because it is excellent and true to the spirit of survival horror where the leak is as essential as the courage to face his fear. Then, because it takes some of the elements of the first episode released on the original PlayStation and thus assumes a strong heritage. Despite the limitations of the PSP, we shivered more than once in the shoes of Harry Mason ...
The Last of Us (PS3) - June 14, 2013
Warning Naughty Dog! The creators of Uncharted were sitting blown flabbergasted marked everyone. The Last of Us is as much an amazing game with a strong story and gameplay almost faultless's testimony that could offer the best PlayStation 3. So much so that it has been renewed , remastered on the PlayStation 4. In a world collapsed, two heroes, a man and a young teenager, trying to survive, hoping to be a chance for the rest of humanity gagged and subjected to fear spores that turn into monsters. A title of incredible power.
